I love my girls. I really, really love my girls. I have strong, wonderful female friendships and that was really clear to me at my bachelorette party this past weekend. I have quite an eclectic group of friends but everyone came out to show me love and party away my last few remaining single days. My bridesmaid Amy did an amazing job planning everything and my bridesmaid Kellianne added so many touches and made the trip to the city making the day extra special.
The whole thing was a surprise and I had no idea what to expect. Amy and our friend Carolina met me at the subway stop and ushered me to our hotel the Tribeca Grand. We hung out in the room, drank moscato wine, listened to pop, did our nails, went for a Starbucks run and then got ready together. I miss that about living with roommates, the getting ready to go out together, it’s so fun! Amy did my make up, all night everyone asked me who did it, she should seriously have a business as a make up artist. (That’s me getting picked up from the train below).
My friend Danielle arrived early to host a sex toys party for me and all the girls. I have to say I learned a few things. 😉 Then it was off to dinner at Terra Wine Bar an awesome Italian place in walking distance of the hotel. I ate oysters, burrata, salmon over sautéed spinach, white asparagus with shaved truffle and delicious fresh gnocchi. It was all perfection. I drank rosé and chianti and enjoyed amazing conversation as I moved around the table. We were seated in a private dining room downstairs that was set up like a wine cellar and reminded me of the space my bridal shower was hosted. We were able to plug in my friends iPhone for the best 90’s mix ever; we all knew every word and sang along!
After our amazing dinner it was still a little early to head to a club so we went to Ward iii a lounge that has quite the selection of cocktails and creations. I had the Georgie, you can check it out here. We drank a few cocktails (and shots, let’s be honest this was my bachelorette party) and headed over to M1-5 a club we had actually been to for my friends bachelorette party in March. Funny coincidence considering I didn’t know the plans! We danced for awhile, then we headed back to our hotel for some late night munchies at Tribeca Grand’s bar. I am so glad we did this because I didn’t have a hangover the next day! Sometimes french fries really are the best option. I also drank a ton of water and seltzer in between drinks at the last 2 places knowing I needed to stay hydrated.
The next morning my bridesmaids treated me to the buffet brunch at Tribeca grand. It was perfect. They source organic on all the meat and eggs and had so many specialties. (See my plate above, the first of a few since it was buffet style I just couldn’t resist!). You know I also got a green juice to help cleanse some of the alcohol from my system. I want to go back! They also had awesome live jazz so I was pretty much in heaven. The decor and architecture are unique and the plush lounge chairs and small tables are very Alice in Wonderland. There was a cute dad dancing with his little blond daughter and it just made me smile. It was the best weekend ever. I simply could not have enjoyed it more and really appreciate all of the effort my friends put into making it special!
I’m officially getting married in just over a week and then will be off on my honeymoon for 2 weeks so my posts won’t be as frequent the next few weeks. I also have my 10 year high school reunion this weekend! Yikes, where did the time go! Keep checking out my Instagram as festivities as they unfold!
